Ernest C. Blount is a law enforcement and corporate security professional. He has served at policy-making levels as a municipal chief of police and chief security officer for a large Florida corporation. In the latter position as a direct report to the CEO, member of the insurance committee, and company representative at civil trials. His experience encompasses comprehensive criminal and civil investigations and litigation support as a consulting and testifying expert.

 

During the course and scope of his career, he has developed substantive risk management strategies and solutions some of which he shares on this website. The focus is on the identification of process vulnerabilities arising from a lack of knowledge and flawed assumptions, and how to fix 'em.

 

Mr. Blount is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and a Certified Fraud Examiner (Ret). Career organizational memberships have included: International Association of Chiefs of Police, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and American Society for Industrial Security 

 

He is a native Floridian; his wife is a southern lady from North Carolina. They met on a blind date while he was serving as a parachute rigger with the 77th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg. He also served with the 82nd Airborne. They reside in Florida.
